NOTD: Cold Mountain

I have seen a few different kinds of scaled gradient manis so this is my chevron design.

I first painted all my nails with a base coat. Then I painted 1 layer of Barry M Eat My Dust on all nails.

To creat the gradient I again used Barry M Eat My Dust along with China Glaze Electric Beat. I then painted over with China Glaze Fairy Dust. The stuff around my nails is Zap Skin Protector from Rainbow Connection.

I then used a chevron nail vinyl from She Sells Seashells and placed this on my nail along with some more of the Zap Skin Protector above the sticker and around my nail. Then I did the gradient as before. This time I didn't add any Fairy Dust.

I finished with a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the many finished.

NOTD: Chevron Queen

I love chevron manis and I haven't done one for a while, so here it is! :)

As always I first applied a base coat. Then on my thumb and ring finger I painted 1 coat of China Glaze White On White. On my index and little finger 2 coats of China Glaze Petal To The Metal. And on my middle finger 3 coats of F.U.N Lacquer Queen.

For the gradient I used as usual a triangle makeup sponge and painted on China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy, Petal To The Metal and Float On. Before applying to my nails I painted a thin layer of Rainbow Connection's Zap Skin Protector (liquid latex) around my nails. I did this on my thumb and ring finger.

After applying a coat of Seche Vite and leaving to dry I then used these vinyl chevron stickers from She Sells Seashells and placed them as shown on the gradient nails. I then thickly painted on (as this was a 3 coaster) F.U.N Lacquer Queen and then carefully peeled off the vinyls.

To finish I applied a top coat of Seche Vite to all nails!

NOTD: Summer Gradient

After my last mani I thought I should go back to something a bit more colourful. I love these colours together :)

I first applied a base coat. Then as I always do when I do a gradient I painted 1 coat of China Glaze White On White on all nails.

For the gradient I used a simple triangle makeup sponge and painted on Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Man-go Team!, Barry M Grapefruit and China Glaze Spontaneous. I then dabbed the sponge on my nails. To avoid having to do too much clean up I applied liquid latex around my nails.

For the stamping I used MoYou Black stamping polish and stamped part of the pattern from MoYou Explore Collection plate 22. I did this on my thumb, middle and ring finger.

I then used tape on my index and little finger to create a triangle going from the tip of my nail towards the cuticle. I painted over this with China Glaze Liquid Leather, then carefully peeled off the tape.

To finish it off I painted a top coat of Seche Vite!

NOTD: Black Heart

Ok so I realise it's Summer and I should really be doing a brighter mani than this. However, when I was deciding what to do it was grey and raining! Plus I didn't want to wait any longer to use this lace pattern plate from Born Pretty Store. So yh that's my excuse...

As always I firstly painted a base coat on all nails. Then I used 2 coats of Barry M Lychee on my thumb, middle and ring finger. And 2 coats of China Glaze Liquid Leather on my index and little finger.

For the stamping I used this beautiful lace flower pattern from Born Pretty Store plate BP-02, which as you can see stamps really well! And I stamped that on all nails painted with Lychee using MoYou black stamping polish.

For the nail heart tip on my ring finger I used a heart paper cutter on some sticky back paper. I cut it in half so I just had the top bit of the heart and placed it as shown then painted using China Glaze Liquid Leather and peeled off carefully.

For a nice finishing touch I decided to add some studs near the cuticle of my nails on the two nails painted with Liquid Leather. I chose to use a pearl stud and a diamanté stud.

To complete I painted all nails with a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished!
