31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 27 - Inspired by Artwork (Lora Zombie)

I love Lora Zombie's artwork so I had to use her art for this mani! The piece I got my inspiration from is below. I think I matched it quite well :)

I forgot to take a picture with just the white coat, but I painted my base coat then painted 2 coats of China Glaze White on White.
Then to create the watercolour look with the polishes I mixed each polish with some clear polish then randomly applied in different areas on each nail. The polishes are Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Presto Pink and Blue By!

To create the splatters I used the splatter design from MoYou Pro Collection plate 04. I took individual part of the design rather than the whole design, I stamped a couple in the colours and the rest in Konad black randomly on each nail.
Then the butterfly stamp was taken from Konad plate m78 and I randomly placed these on each nail and missed some other nails.

I then applied a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished.
Love this design! One of my favourites.

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 26 - Inspired by a Pattern

Love dogtooth nails so I decided to do the dogtooth pattern for this challenge day.

First I painted a base coat. Then on my thumb, index, middle and little finger I painted 2 coats of China Glaze White On White. On my ring finger I painted 2 coats of Barry M's Majesty.

On all the nails painted white I stamped this dogtooth pattern using Konad Black. The pattern was stamped from Bundle Monster plate BM-322.

On my index and ring finger I used sticky tape to separate each nail in half. I then painted over the nail using Barry M Mint Green and removed the tape carefully.
Once this was dry I used a dotting tool and Barry M Majesty again to go along the edge created by the tape.

I then painted a coat of Seche Vite on all nails apart from the ring finger, as Majesty is a texture polish, and that is the mani finished.

Only a few more manis to go and that will be the challenge finished! Seems like I have been doing it for ages now...

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 25 - Inspired by Fashion

These nails were inspired by a dress I have that has a tartan pattern with a black peter pan collar. Love the dress and the nails :)

I firstly painted my nails with a base coat. On my thumb, middle and ring finger I painted OPI's Quarter of a Cent-Cherry. On my index and little finger I painted W7's Black.

On the nails painted with the red I then stamped the pattern shown from MoYou's Pro Collection plate 01 using Konad's black special polish.

I then painted a coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished. Simple and pretty :)

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 24 - Inspired by a Book (Orange Is The New Black)

I love the TV series of Orange is the New Black and although I haven't read the book yet I do plan to, so technically I'm not cheating :P

First I painted my base coat then applied 2 coats of Rimmel Orange Bliss.

I stamped using Konad special black and MoYou Pro Collection plate 01. I have marked the stamp patterns I used. I stamped the polka dots on my thumb and little finger and the stripes on my index finger. On my middle finger I created a gradient, to do this I painted the orange and W7 Black next to each other on a palette and I then pressed a make-up sponge into it. I then dabbed this on my nails and I repeated that about 3 times.

On my ring finger I stamped this little chick from plate Pueen47 using Konad special black. If you don't watch the show then you wouldn't understand. And although I know it is a chicken in the show, the little chick was the closest I had lol.

I then painted a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished!

Love this mani and I love the show, so if you get chance you should watch it! And I will get round to reading the book at some point :)

31 Day Challenge 2014: Day 23 - Inspired by a Movie (Harry Potter)

I love the Harry Potter series of films so I have done Harry Potter nails :)

First I painted a base coat. Then I painted 2 coats of each colour. From left to right they are China Glaze First Mate, Avon Real Red, Barry M Peach Melba, China Glaze Starboard and Rimmel Sunshine.

As shown below I used striping tape then painted over to create diagonal lines on my thumb, index, ring and little finger.
On my thumb I used Barry M Copper as the colours for Ravenclaws house are Blue and Bronze. On my index finger I used Barry M Gold Foil as the colours for Gryffindors house are Scarlett and Gold. On my ring finger I used Barry M Silver Foil as the colours for Slytherins house are Green and Silver. And on my little finger I used W7 Black as the colours for Hufflepuffs house are Yellow and Black.

Then on my middle finger I created Harry Potter's face. I did this by using Sharpie pens.

I then painted a top coat of Seche Vite and that is the mani finished.
